Fun with Fractions

Fun with Fractions

We are finding using a number line is really helping our understanding of fractions. It helps us see that fractions are numbers that sit between the whole numbers. It helps us better image the size of the fraction and recognise equivalent fractions. Sometimes we work in teams and race each other to place a fraction. We have to collaborate and be able to back up our decisions. We seem to be happy in our learning.😁

We used that line as a number line so that we could see how well we knew our fractions.Did you know that if you add two fractions together they equal 1 whole? And did you know that fractions are just the parts of a whole number?
